FBT VHA 118.2 SA — 2500-watt bass monster for pro systems
If you need serious bass for concerts, clubs or major events, the FBT VHA 118.2 SA active subwoofer delivers exactly what you’d expect. 2500 watts RMS power, 18-inch woofer with 4-inch voice coil, and depth that starts at 30 Hz — this is a serious contender in its class.
Pure power, controlled bass
The bass-reflex design is popular for good reason: it delivers efficient, deep and energetic sound. The VHA 118.2 SA operates between 30 Hz and 100 Hz (measured at -6 dB), producing 138 dB continuous and 144 dB peak sound pressure. This level goes well beyond small and medium-sized venues — it’s a real powerhouse that fills the space with bass without distorting or tiring.
Built-in DSP and delay — all tuning at your fingertips
FBT hasn’t skimped on features. The rear panel offers stereo XLR input and output, plus a volume control, a delay switch and a DSP switch with 6 preset modes. The latter is the real strength of the system: cardioid, front-fill, end-fire or traditional setup — choose depending on the space you’re installing in and the coverage you want. The omnidirectional dispersion provides evenly distributed bass, so there won’t be any „dead zones” in the room.
Built to last
61.5 kilograms is no joke, but the plywood cabinet with internal bracing and non-slip handle make moving easier. Rubber feet stabilize the stance, while the M20 satellite pole socket on top allows perfect integration with the rest of your system. The 606 × 700 × 720 mm dimensions are compact, yet large enough to deliver the full spectrum. In black, with a clean, professional appearance.
Who is it for?
Anyone building a PA in larger venues, concerts or clubs who doesn’t want to compromise on the low end. Sound companies, venues, event technicians — those who know that bass is the foundation of everything. The VHA 118.2 SA isn’t an „entry-level” product, but the kind of tool you can build an entire system around, reliably carrying the show from ten at night till dawn.
Summary
The FBT VHA 118.2 SA active subwoofer delivers exactly what its name promises: massive power, precise tuning capability and professional build quality. If deep bass is what’s missing from your setup, this cabinet provides the answer — energetically, controllably, reliably.
